We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join a specialist contractor delivering high quality external works and green infrastructure projects. Landscaping experience is not essential, training will be provided. A strong construction estimating background is key.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Produce detailed Bills of Quantities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and risk
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  • Compile full tender submissions
  • Identify risks, assumptions, and cost saving opportunities
  • Support value engineering and commercial discussions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Estimator within construction
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings
  • Experience producing Bills of Quantities
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel and estimating software
  • High attention to detail and strong organisation skills

Desirable:

  • Exposure to civils, external works, or landscaping
  • Interest in green infrastructure or specialist projects
