We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join a specialist contractor delivering high quality external works and green infrastructure projects. Landscaping experience is not essential, training will be provided. A strong construction estimating background is key.
Key responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Produce detailed Bills of Quantities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and risk
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
- Compile full tender submissions
- Identify risks, assumptions, and cost saving opportunities
- Support value engineering and commercial discussions
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Estimator within construction
- Strong understanding of construction drawings
- Experience producing Bills of Quantities
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel and estimating software
- High attention to detail and strong organisation skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to civils, external works, or landscaping
- Interest in green infrastructure or specialist projects
