We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost controls and cost reporting for 2–3 civil engineering projects, each valued between £2 million and £6 million. The role is self‑sufficient with a mix of site, office and home working. Sites are within 30 miles of Birmingham and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Commercial Director.
Working for a very established business that serves large blue‑chip construction organisations. One of the UK’s best known and respected civil engineering and groundworks contractors operating on projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million across the Midlands region. We work across sectors including defence, healthcare, commercial, industrial, technology, and motorsport. Typical works include bulk excavation, pile caps, ground beams, floor slabs, foundations, specialist tanking, retaining walls, external works, hard and soft landscaping.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cost controls and cost reporting on each project.
- Self‑sufficient workload management.
