Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a number of Electrical Fitters for our client based in Stafford Park, Telford.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Have experience within assembly & installation of electrical systems & equipment.
  • Significant hands-on experience of electrical equipment, assembly, and machine building.
  • Experience with testing, fault-finding and diagnostics of electrical equipment.
  • Must be able to commit to working on installations of equipment at our customer’s locations worldwide.
  • Must hold a valid driving license.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Must ensure quality standards are met.
  • Must hold 18th Edition UK Wiring Regulations - BS 7671:2018 Certificate.
  • Experience of using hand tools.
  • City & Guilds, ONC or HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • Apprentice trained – advantageous.

Work Environment and Development

This is working in a niche market where full product training is provided – we are looking for candidates who have a strong electrical base skill level who are looking for the opportunity to grow and develop in their career. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing business. You will be working in a clean, well lit production environment where you are supported in your career development with ‘on the job’ training coupled with external FLT, scissor lift and other various external courses.

Working Hours

40 hour week with an early finish on Friday. Mon to Thurs – 07:45 to 17:00, Fri – 07:30 to 12:30.

Compensation

In return, you can expect to earn between £29,000 - £35,000 per annum. To achieve the higher salary bracket, you must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role with proven levels of success. There is also significant overtime available (paid at premium) where your earnings can significantly increase.

Travel and Site Work

As part of this role, you will be given the opportunity to complete site installs where travel, accommodation and expenses are provided. This would involve travelling abroad/work worldwide to complete installations & due to the size of the projects, could be working away for up to 5/6 weeks.
