Working pattern: Hybrid home/field-based, with occasional overnight stays

Salary: £52,000 + Bonus (Up to £33,000, OTE £15,000)

A leading engineering business is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join its UK team and support customers across South East and South West England and South Wales. The role combines technical consultation, relationship building, and solution-led sales within a specialist condition monitoring environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, building trust, and recommending the right technical solution from a specialist product portfolio. The successful candidate will spend time visiting customer and office sites, acting as a trusted advisor, and supporting commercial growth through strong technical understanding and service-led selling.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
  • Identify customer needs and sell the most suitable solution from the product range.
  • Visit customer and office sites across the region, with some overnight travel.
  • Work independently while maintaining a professional and consistent approach.

Qualifications

  • Technical sales experience.
  • A recognised mechanical/Electrical qualification.
  • Understanding of electromechanical machinery.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using CRM systems.

Desirable

  • Condition monitoring experience.
  • Mobius/BINDT ISO18436 Cat I qualification.
