Role Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including training, development, performance evaluations, coaching, and recruiting/hiring.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, track deadlines, and mentor staff.
- Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities, develop operating and capital budgets.
- Recommend and implement improvements to preventive maintenance programs and maintain effective building‑specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
- Act as point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
- Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues, staying current with technology trends.
- Maintain ongoing communication with high‑profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management teams, and vendors.
- Drive acquisition of new management contracts and facilitate development of as‑built drawings.
- Respond to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
- Apply broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and integration with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, influence others, and adopt different viewpoints guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5‑8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience and education).
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, appraisal, and retention.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team toward broad operational targets affecting multiple job disciplines and the department.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
