Shifts: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:00, with potential for overtime

SRG are currently recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based in Tamworth. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, diagnosing and improving plant machinery to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations. As the Mechanical Maintenance/ Plant Engineer, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement. This role provides clear progression pathways, supported by ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Maintain, diagnose and repair plant equipment and machinery
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and fault finding
  • Manage spare parts stock
  • Support design and development of new equipment
  • Support production by ensuring all equipment is fully operational

Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills
  • IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)
  • Welding to BS 4872-1 standard (desirable)
  • IPAF licence or willingness to obtain (desirable)
  • Hydraulics training (BFPA / NFPC) (desirable)
