Are you a Mechanical Engineer / Field Service Fitter who enjoys hands‑on work, problem solving and travelling to customer sites?
Escape Recruitment is working with an established engineering business that is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of technically interesting projects while receiving ongoing training and genuine long‑term career development.
This role offers plenty of variety, with time spent installing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites throughout the UK.
The Role
- Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites
- Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs
- Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
- Conducting site inspections and producing survey reports
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Working closely with customers and colleagues to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Travelling throughout the UK, including regular overnight stays
- Supporting workshop activities when required
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship
- City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical qualification
- Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
- Excellent fault‑finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A flexible approach to travelling and staying away when required
