Overview

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager (CEM) to lead the engineering delivery of a portfolio of CP7 rail infrastructure projects.

You'll play a key role in delivering major enhancement and renewals schemes, including Footbridge Enhancements Programmes, supporting future capacity improvements on one of Wales' most important rail corridors.

As CEM, you will lead engineering assurance, design management, and technical governance across multiple Design & Build projects, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards from project inception through to hand-back.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM).
  • Lead engineering assurance and technical governance.
  • Manage internal and external design teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and PACE/GRIP requirements.
  • Chair design reviews and oversee technical approvals.
  • Provide technical leadership on construction methodology and buildability.
  • Support safe, efficient project delivery and undertake CRE duties when required.

About You

  • Proven experience as a CEM within a rail contracting environment.
  • Strong civil engineering background, particularly structures and rail assets.
  • Experience delivering Design & Build projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Network Rail standards and engineering processes.
  • Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership).
  • PTS certification.
  • Project Wise experience desirable.
