Anglian Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor on a major energy infrastructure project based in Swaffham, Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a live substation project with a strong pipeline of future works, working alongside an experienced and supportive commercial team.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled and commercial risks are managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates and project budgets
- Managing subcontractor procurement and tender processes
- Reviewing and analysing subcontractor quotations
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
- Producing valuations, variations and cost reports
- Managing forecasting and cash flow
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting the Project Manager with commercial decisions
- Ensuring contractual compliance and risk mitigation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Previous experience within energy, utilities, civils or infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial and cost management knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractor packages
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work across multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
