I am seeking an experienced Gantry Crane Operator for a 6 month contract position on a major construction/engineering project.in Norlfok.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate gantry cranes to lift, move and position heavy materials and equipment.
- Carry out pre-use inspections and report any defects or safety concerns.
- Follow lifting plans, site procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Work closely with banksmen, slingers and site management to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment is operated within safe working limits.
Requirements:
- Valid and relevant CPCS/NPORS Gantry Crane Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating gantry cranes in a construction, infrastructure or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety.
- Good communication and ability to work as part of a lifting team.
- Relevant site safety qualifications such as CSCS where applicable.
