We are working with a well‑established residential developer looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Dorking. This role offers the chance to work across multiple live residential schemes, supported by an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Working pattern:

  • Office‑based Monday and Friday (early finish on Fridays)
  • Tuesday‑Thursday: mix of site, office, and WFH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the commercial management of residential projects
  • Subcontractor procurement and package management
  • Support valuations, variations, and cost reporting
  • Liaise with site teams and subcontractors
  • Assist with final accounts
  • Manage elements of projects independently with support as required

Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a construction‑related discipline
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Understanding of JCT contracts
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
