We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join our production team, specialising in the fabrication of excavator buckets and heavy‑duty attachments. You’ll be working with mild steel, carrying out multi‑run MIG welds, and producing robust, high‑quality components built to withstand tough environments.
Responsibilities
- MIG welding (multi‑run) on mild steel plate and structural components
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Operating workshop machinery, tools, and equipment safely
- Ensuring all welds meet quality and safety standards
- Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Proven MIG welding experience (preferably in heavy fabrication)
- Strong ability to carry out multi‑pass runs on mild steel
- Competent in reading fabrication/engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Shifts and Pay Rates
Shifts are Monday to Thursday nightshifts starting at 9pm. Paid for 10 hours daily. Overtime available before/after shifts.
Basic 40 hours = £15.22 (£17.22 with Night Allowance)
41-45 hours = £19.52
45+ hours = £21.96
£20 nights allowance per shift.
