A friendly, well-respected structural and civil engineering consultancy with an office in Manchester is looking for a Structural Engineer with 2‑4 years' experience to join their growing team. The practice is known for delivering practical, efficient and well‑considered design solutions across sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial developments.
The Role
- Deliver structural design work from early concept through to construction
- Produce accurate and compliant design calculations, drawings and technical reports
- Collaborate with architects, clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions
- Carry out structural analysis and design using industry‑standard software
- Attend site visits and provide technical support during delivery stages
- Support and assist junior team members where appropriate
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in design processes and quality
About You
- Holds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Has 2–4 years' experience within a UK consultancy environment
- Is working towards Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE)
- Has a good working knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes
- Is confident with structural design software
- Has experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Enjoys working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams
- Communicates clearly and effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
