We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our client's well-established CNC woodworking facility. You will be responsible for maintaining, adjusting, and improving a wide range of production equipment, including edge banders, large band saws, CNC machinery, and a brand-new extraction system. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in keeping machinery running at peak performance, minimising downtime, and ensuring a safe and productive site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance, repair, setting and adjustment of all production equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance scheduling and execution
- Rapid response to breakdowns, failures, and operator concerns
- Maintenance and safe operation of the site's new extraction system
- Oversight of facilities and building-related maintenance
- Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety standards
- Managing and supervising specialist subcontractors for servicing, repairs, and warranty work
About You
- Experienced Maintenance Engineer (manufacturing/woodworking)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of CNC machinery, edge banders, band saws, and extraction systems
- Safety-first mindset with strong understanding of compliance and statutory duties
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and communicate clearly
- Competent with PPM systems and maintenance documentation
