We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving Mechanical systems across the site.
The Role
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using CMMS
- Working on conveyors, bearings, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Reactive maintenance support when required
- 8am-4pm, 40 hours per week (6am start during shutdown every 6 weeks)
- Occasional call-out with enhanced pay
About You
- Mechanical apprenticeship or HNC/NVQ Level 3
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance
- Strong hands-on experience with conveyors and rotating equipment
- Self-motivated and process-driven
What's On Offer
- The salary is £39,900 with standard benefits including pension.
- Up to £1000 shopfloor bonus per year (assessed and paid quarterly - based on plant performance, Health and safety)
- The pay would be reviewed annually through annual negotiation with the Union.
- 8am-4pm (plant shut down every 6 weeks and come in at 6am)
- 40hours/week
- May have occasional request work for night or weekend (call out payment)
- There is a KPI led bonus of £800 related to Absence, Hazard Reporting and another specific engineering KPI that Hiring Manager will be able to confirm at later stages.
- Candidate may have occasional request work for night or weekend (incl. call out payment). Overtime will be paid as and when required.
- There is 31 days of annual leave inclusive of public holidays
