Refrigeration Engineer Company based in Stevenage. Earn £36,000 to £46,000 DOE + overtime! Are you an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to work with a leading provider of commercial kitchen installation and maintenance services for the UK’s premium hospitality sector? They work with some of the most respected hotels and restaurants in the country, delivering everything from one-off installations to full turnkey projects and complete asset management including maintenance and repairs.

Due to expansion and continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join and expand our existing field service team. Experience in the hospitality or commercial kitchen environment would be advantageous, but we would be happy to consider applications from similar industries such as retail, commercial, or industrial.

You’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the industry’s most experienced engineers, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of hospitality refrigeration equipment, including fridges, cold rooms, ice machines and more. You’ll of course be working independently or as part of a team during larger planned maintenance visits. We cover Central London, Greater London and the Home Counties, so you need to be within easy driving distance of London and ideally our offices in Stevenage.

Fit & Qualifications
  • Experience in fault finding, repairing and maintaining refrigeration equipment such as fridges, cold rooms, air-conditioning and ice machines.
  • F-Gas certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills.
  • Experience using Field Service Management software on a mobile phone, tablet or PDA.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in refrigeration repair, maintenance or installation.
  • English language proficiency (required).
  • United Kingdom work authorisation (required).
Role Responsibilities
  • Attend breakdown callouts and repair all refrigeration equipment found in the hospitality industry.
  • Perform maintenance and servicing of refrigeration equipment on a planned basis.
  • Collaborate with a large team.
  • Dynamic working hours; choose early or late shift team.
  • Deal directly with customers including client-side engineers and chefs.
  • Work across Central London, Greater London and the Home Counties.
