Salary: Up to £54,000 depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
Security Clearance: British or a Dual UK with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to obtain SC clearance, which is managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We are looking for a Systems Architect who is keen to be part of a growing team designing the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapon across air and maritime domains. We are looking for someone with practical MBSE experience within Rhapsody or equivalent tools who is excited to work within a complex problem space and engage across several engineering domains. The role reports into the Lead Architect and is part of the Mission Planning & Control team. The Architecture team works transversally across all the Mission Planning product lines.
Role responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with design teams and help evolve and capture the system design using MBSE principles.
- Generate and review architecture artefacts.
- Contribute to engineering milestones and key design reviews.
- Ensure best model practice is followed and design is complete, coherent and drives development.
- Work with the wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability.
- Drive commonality and re-use across product lines.
What we're looking for from you: qualifications and skills:
- Experience in systems architecture and using Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Proficiency with Rhapsody or equivalent modelling tools.
- Proficiency with Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or equivalent configuration control tools.
- Proficiency with DOORS Next Gen or equivalent requirements management tool.
- Solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles.
- Desire to work within a complex problem space across product lines.
- Ability to communicate and engage positively with cross-functional teams.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Mission Planning (useful but not essential).
This role requires the applicant to possess a suitable Security Clearance and to comply with all company policies and procedures.
