Key Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer
- Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and deliver major CI initiatives using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D, and Value Stream Mapping
- Identify waste, implement process optimisation strategies, and embed best practice across the production area
- Drive error-proofing, process control improvements, and robust standardisation
- Manufacturing Engineering & NPI Support
- Develop, validate, and refine manufacturing processes to meet demanding quality and compliance standards
- Support New Product Introduction activities from early concept through to industrialisation and launch
- Specify, commission, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures
- Cost, Performance & Investment
- Deliver cost reduction through value engineering, cycle time improvement, and automation opportunities
- Prepare CapEx justifications, create investment proposals, and support project delivery
- Provide technical input into long-term capital planning

You’re an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who is disciplined, analytical, and proactive. Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer Role
- HND/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- Strong background in high-volume or advanced manufacturing (automotive experience ideal)
- Practical experience applying Lean methodology and structured problem-solving tools
- Understanding of automated assembly systems, tooling, and test equipment
- Confident interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification beneficial
- Experience delivering CapEx or equipment introduction projects desirable
