Maintenance Engineer (Multi Skilled) Stockport/Hyde Β£45,000 - Β£47,000
Hours of Work: 36 hours per week (rotating shift weekly)
- Week 1: 06:00 β 13:30 Monday to Thursday, 06:00 β 12:00 Friday
- Week 2: 13:30 β 06:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 β 18:00 Friday
Probation period hours: 08:00 β 17:00 for training.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment, in accordance with relevant current legislation and ensure documentation and records are kept accordingly.
- Carry out electrical installation work when required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services, ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
- Proactively monitor the condition of services and machinery and report defects.
- Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance throughout the site on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Fault find, diagnose and repair (where possible).
- Engage in fault finding on PLC/HMI controlled machinery.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical/multiskilled discipline.
- Apprentice trained (or equivalent).
- Good mechanical knowledge/experience.
- PLC, HMI experience.
- 18th Edition (desirable).
About the role:
You will work on automated assembly cells such as hydraulic presses, extrusion lines and injection moulding machines.
