Duration: 6 month contract – potential to extend
Hours: 37 hours a week – Monday to Thursday 8:00‑4:30, Friday 8:00‑1:00
Pay: Up to £37.16p/h PAYE plus holiday and pension contribution OR up to £50.43p/h Umbrella
Responsibilities
- High-level program management of multiple large NPI programmes
- Presentation of weekly/monthly updates to management on NPI programme progress, risks & concerns
- Team meetings, typically weekly, for governing NPI programmes
- Oversee creation of Programme Project Plans and maintain the plan schedule in support of Gateway Schedules
- Ensure programme functional requirements align with product strategy, programme financials, cost targets, and Gateway schedules are met
- Organise and facilitate key presentations including Stakeholder Updates, NPI Governance Meetings, NPI gateway reviews and NPI Issue Resolution Meetings as needed
- Identify problems that may not be obvious and solve them by determining the best course of action within departmental guidelines
- Manage and coordinate development, pilot, field follow‑up and first production product builds through Operations
- Build relationships with other departments within the NPI programme team
- Identify cost‑containment opportunities
- Identify trends and areas of focus for continuous improvement
- Guide and coach both junior members of the project management team and global cross‑functional area representatives assigned to the relative NPI programme
Qualifications
- University degree or 10+ years project management equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in Design, Development, Engineering or Operations
- 5+ years of experience leading high-performing, cross‑functional teams
- Experience/knowledge of engine products for electric power applications – desirable
- Engine/Electric Power Experience – desirable
