The Role
- Lead vertical transportation design strategy, including lift selection, sizing, speed calculations, and traffic analysis for complex buildings
- Provide technical authority across projects, supporting MEP teams with specialist lift engineering expertise
- Produce and review specifications, schedules, and technical documentation
- Conduct site surveys and assessments of existing lift installations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams across all project stages
- Support client engagement and business development, helping secure and grow project opportunities
- Contribute to commissioning and project delivery, ensuring performance and compliance
About You
Essential
- Proven experience in vertical transportation / lift design within consultancy or lift contractor environments
- Strong capability in lift traffic analysis, system design, and engineering calculations
- Experience delivering projects across sectors such as residential (high-rise), commercial, or mixed-use developments
- Ability to operate within multi-disciplinary building services (MEP) teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience contributing to business development or client relationship management
- Familiarity with Revit or BIM environments
- Exposure to sustainable / low-carbon building design
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
