We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a busy civils project based in Sheffield, starting 20th April for 6‑8 weeks, with a strong focus on earthworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all finishing trades on site
- Manage and supervise earthworks operations, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently
- Drive the programme to ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard
- Manage snagging lists and ensure quality control is maintained
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across site
- Liaise effectively with subcontractors, consultants, and senior management
- Prepare areas for inspection, handover, and practical completion
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor, with earthworks experience
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple trades
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
