We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Civil Engineer to join a growing infrastructure team within a well‑established consultancy. You will play a central role in the design and delivery of diverse civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, earthworks and public‑realm infrastructure, working closely with structural and environmental disciplines, clients, local authorities and other external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and check detailed designs, and produce technical drawings, specifications and reports.
- Ensure all work meets the highest standards of technical quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with planning submissions and support the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
- Conduct site visits and provide input during the construction phase.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, working towards Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers or a similar professional body.
- Strong knowledge of drainage and highway design principles.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, PDS and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Section 278, 38 and 104 agreements, and a good understanding of planning and adoption processes.
