Are you an experienced Estimator looking to work on complex infrastructure and construction projects? Do you have a strong track record of producing accurate, competitive tender pricing in a fast-paced environment? Can you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to influence cost-effective design and delivery solutions?

A leading engineering and construction organisation is seeking an Estimator to play a key role in securing major projects by delivering robust and competitive cost estimates. We would also welcome applications from these industries: Infrastructure, civil engineering, rail, utilities, energy, and major build projects.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Estimator, Senior Estimator, Cost Engineer, Commercial Estimator, Bid Estimator, Pre-Construction Estimator, Project Estimator, Quantity Surveyor (pre-contract), Cost Planner, Tendering Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed cost estimates for tenders, ensuring pricing is competitive, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Work closely with bid teams, planners, procurement, and technical specialists to develop cost-effective solutions and methodologies.
  • Build up pricing for labour, plant, materials, subcontract packages, and preliminaries using market insight and supplier engagement.
  • Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments, supporting robust tender submissions and commercial decision-making.
  • Compile final pricing documentation, present cost breakdowns at internal reviews, and support post-tender clarifications and handovers.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in estimating within construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement practices, and contract forms.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into accurate cost plans.
  • Experience using estimating software and producing detailed cost models.
  • Commercial awareness with a methodical approach to analysing risk, value, and cost drivers.
