Our client is a respected UK engineering consultancy known for delivering clear, efficient and well‑considered structural solutions. They are now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer ready to take ownership of varied projects and play a key role within a close‑knit technical team in Sevenoaks. This hybrid position offers exposure to an impressive range of sectors – from residential and commercial to leisure, education and industrial developments.
The successful candidate will lead their own projects, coordinate with clients and design teams, and contribute to high‑quality structural design work from concept through completion.
The role:
- Develop structural design solutions and produce calculations to Eurocodes
- Design in RC, steel, timber, masonry and foundations
- Prepare PDF mark‑ups, calculation packs and technical reports
- Liaise directly with clients and attend meetings and site inspections
About you:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years' relevant experience
- Strong understanding of UK design and construction standards
- Experience with TEKLA TEDDS, TSD and PDF mark‑up tools (e.g., Bluebeam)
- Familiarity with CDE platforms is a bonus
- Confident communication skills and solid technical writing
- Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
