Our client is an established RC Frame and Groundwork contractor operating throughout London and the Home Counties. With a strong reputation for delivering complex reinforced concrete frame and groundwork packages, they continue to secure repeat business from a number of leading developers and main contractors.
Current projects range from £10m to £20m and cover residential, commercial, student accommodation and mixed-use developments. With a healthy pipeline of secured work and further projects due to commence this year, they are continuing to strengthen their commercial team.
Due to healthy order books and company expansion, there is need for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Department on a range of RC Frame and Groundwork projects. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs with an end goal of maximising project profit margins whilst ensuring delivery of payment and developing long-term client relationships. You will be involved from tender stage through to final account and work closely with both operational and commercial teams. This role offers a genuine opportunity to progress into a Commercial Manager position as the company continues its planned growth over the coming years.
Previous experience working for an RC Frame, Groundwork or Civil Engineering contractor is required. Experience as either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor is essential. A good understanding of valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts is necessary. Candidates should be degree educated within Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline and commercially aware with strong communication skills. Candidates looking to progress from Quantity Surveyor to Senior Quantity Surveyor will also be considered.
Salary range of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum. Package includes:
