We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of large-scale logistics developments across the M5 corridor. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, delivering complex civil infrastructure and highways packages for a leading main contractor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civil and highways works across several major logistics schemes. This is a dynamic position requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple packages simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commercial delivery of civil infrastructure and highways packages across multiple sites
  • Manage budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasting across projects
  • Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events and variations
  • Lead subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account management
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting to senior management
  • Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or highways
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects or sites simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of NEC forms of contract
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree qualified or working towards a professional qualification (e.g., RICS)
