As a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in façade packages, cladding systems, or external envelope works, you will join a respected contractor delivering diverse residential, healthcare, and community-led regeneration projects across London and the Southeast. With several major schemes entering key delivery phases, the need for a commercially sharp QS with specialist façade experience has never been greater.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of façade and external envelope packages from procurement through to final accounts.
- Prepare detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and subcontract evaluations with a focus on value engineering and risk mitigation.
- Manage change control processes, variations, and commercial reporting with accuracy and clarity.
- Liaise closely with design teams, façade engineers, and site management to ensure technical compliance and smooth delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist subcontractors and supply‑chain partners.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior commercial staff where required.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within main contracting or specialist façade subcontracting.
- Strong understanding of cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen systems, and associated compliance requirements.
- Solid contractual knowledge, ideally with experience in NEC or JCT forms.
- Ability to manage multiple work packages concurrently while maintaining high commercial standards.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proactive, detail‑driven, and capable of working autonomously within a supportive team environment.
