Multi Trades Recruitment are working on behalf of a prestigious Tier 1 contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a landmark 130km road infrastructure project in Scotland. This major civil engineering scheme includes highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and associated infrastructure works. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the design and construction process, ensuring approved designs are effectively coordinated and delivered through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure works.
- Manage scheme design development through to construction delivery.
- Coordinate design outputs and ensure construction drawings receive the necessary approvals.
- Integrate design activities with construction programmes and site operations.
- Lead procurement activities and manage subcontractors, plant, labour and materials.
- Develop construction methodologies, RAMS, programmes and quality processes.
- Monitor project performance, programme, budgets and productivity.
- Identify and resolve technical, contractual and construction challenges.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide regular progress reporting.
- Lead, mentor and develop project teams while promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, Degree or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years' experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in linear construction projects such as highways, roads, rail or utilities.
- Proven experience delivering Design.
