O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEP Surveyor to join their established commercial team, delivering a portfolio of prestigious high-end projects across Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex and high-specification projects across the residential, commercial, retail, leisure and education sectors. You will take a leading role in the commercial management of MEP packages across multiple projects, working closely with project teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure the successful commercial delivery of building services installations.
The role offers exposure to a diverse range of refurbishment, cut and carve and new build schemes, with involvement from pre‑construction and PCSA stages through to final account. You will be joining an experienced and collaborative commercial team with excellent opportunities to progress within a growing and successful main contractor.

Responsibilities
- Leading the commercial management of high-value MEP subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations for award
- Managing subcontractor valuations, payments, variations, change control and final accounts
- Producing accurate cost reporting, CVRs, forecasting and monthly commercial reports for MEP packages
- Providing commercial support during pre‑construction and PCSA stages, including budgeting, value engineering and procurement strategy
- Working closely with operational, design and pre‑construction teams to ensure commercially successful project delivery
- Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial risks whilst maximising project opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and specialist MEP subcontractors
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior MEP Surveyor, MEP Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for MEP packages within a main contracting environment
- Previous experience delivering high-end residential, commercial, retail, leisure or education projects
- Strong experience managing high-value MEP packages from procurement through to final account
- Experience working on refurbishment and/or cut and carve schemes
- Exposure to pre‑construction and PCSA stage projects would be highly advantageous
- Excellent commercial, contractual and negotiation skills with a strong understanding of MEP procurement and delivery
- Able and willing to commute to Central London
