You’ll play a key role in delivering ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects across sectors such as offshore wind, onshore wind, and wider infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, managing, and interpreting ground investigations for renewables schemes
  • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports
  • Supervising site works including drilling, sampling, and logging
  • Providing geological and geotechnical input into design (foundations, earthworks, slope stability)
  • Supporting offshore and onshore project delivery where required
  • Mentoring junior engineers and geologists
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related discipline
  • Strong industry experience in a similar role (typically 5+ years)
  • Experience working on infrastructure or energy/renewables projects
  • Solid understanding of ground investigation and reporting
  • Experience supervising site works and managing projects
  • Working towards or holding Chartered status (GeolSoc/ICE) is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
