An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy in London on a contract basis outside IR35. This hybrid role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary building services engineering team, supporting the delivery of electrical design solutions across a range of building projects. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will contribute to the development of electrical building services designs, technical documentation and coordinated BIM models.

This role is based in the London office with hybrid working available, offering the chance to work on high-quality building services projects alongside experienced engineers and consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing electrical building services designs for a variety of building projects
  • Developing electrical schematics, layouts and technical documentation
  • Supporting the delivery of projects across multiple RIBA design stages
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineers, structural engineers and architects
  • Assisting with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design integration
  • Producing and reviewing technical drawings and design calculations
  • Supporting project delivery to meet quality, programme and technical standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems
  • Experience producing electrical design calculations and technical drawings
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to support projects across multiple RIBA stages
Desirable skills
  • Experience using Revit or BIM modelling software
  • Experience working on commercial, residential or mixed-use developments
