OurclientislookingforanexperiencedSeniorDataCentreengineertoworkon ashiftbasis(ContinentalDays&Nights)tospecialiseinactivitiessuchascrossconnects,localisedpatching,rackinganddecommissioning.
Please note, only candidates who have experience of working within a Data Centre will be considered for this position.
JobDuties
- Providesupportforbothpre - scheduledandreactiveoperationalworkflowsattheDataCentreor,aspre-arranged,atotherlocations.
- PlanandoptimisetheefficientuseofDataCentrespaceandcabinetutilisationinaccordancewiththeHostingDataCentreStandards.
- PreparequotationsinalignmentwithdefinedstandardsandOperationalLevelAgreements(OLAs).
- Mountservers,storage,andnetworkequipmentincabinets,adheringtocurrentDataCentrestandards.
- InstallDataCentrecablingformanagedsolutionsandinternalnetworks,followingdesigndocumentationandutilisingcurrentcopper,fibre,andpatchpanellingstandards.
- Deliverpre-andpost-salessupporttorelevantsupportspecialists,AccountManagers,andServiceManagers.
- ManageRemedy/ServiceNowtickets,ensuringactionsarecompletedwithinagreedinternalOLAsorCustomerServiceLevelAgreements(SLA's).
- Supportgovernanceactivitiesbyaddressinganynon-complianceissuesandmanagingthemtoresolution.
- Investigateincidentsandfaults,identifyrootcauses,andimplementappropriateremedies.
- Prepareaccurateandtimelyreportsasrequired.
- Ensurecorrectiveandrepairworkcomplieswithcurrentregulations. KeyRequirements
KeyRequirements
- ExperienceworkinginanoperationalDataCentreenvironment,includingrackelevationdesignandhandlingserver,storage,andnetworkhardware.
- Skilledintheinstallationofnetworkcross-connectsandcabinetpatchingusingcopperandfibrecabling.
- Proficientintroubleshootingandresolvingfaultsinlivecustomerhostingsolutions.
- StrongunderstandingofthemechanicalandelectricalconfigurationswithinaDataCentre. Salary&Benefits
