Location: Commutable from Grimsby, Barton-upon-Humber, Brigg, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Immingham, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and surrounding areas.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1 week on early shift (7am-3pm), 1 week on night shift (5pm-2am), followed by 4 days (Monday-Thursday) on afternoon shift (2pm-10pm) and Friday (12pm-8pm).
We are a heavy plant manufacturing company with a large team of Maintenance Engineers. We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, project work and improvements.
Responsibilities:- Work across a rotating shift pattern.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and undertake projects and improvement work on plant machinery and building infrastructure.
- Maintain a proactive approach and attention to detail, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental regulations and CMMS requirements.
- Good mechanical maintenance skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, bearings, shafts, seals, motors, welding and fabrication.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ideally apprenticeship trained in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in a similar production environment with exposure to bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, etc.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
