Overview Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and aviation sector, is seeking a talented Solutions Architect to support their Information Services division.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, complex projects within a secure military environment, delivering innovative solutions that meet stringent standards.
What you'll be doing: Developing and documenting business requirements, architecture, and design for diverse IT solutions.
Ensuring solutions adhere to Babcock technology standards, governance, and ITIL frameworks.
Assessing existing software/hardware interfaces and recommending enhancements.
Providing technical support, facilitation, and planning to ensure clear understanding of system needs.
Collaborating with Enterprise Architects to create and update standards and processes.
Supporting bid activities and new business ventures with technical expertise.
Managing resourcing and ensuring smooth project delivery through effective process creation and monitoring.
What you'll bring: Proven experience delivering large-scale technical solutions, ideally within the aviation or military sectors.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Azure/AWS Cloud, and mobile device management.
Technical qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or similar.
Experience with secure Saa S/Paa S solutions, third‑party integrations, and environments aligned with government standards.
Familiarity with architectural tools, TOGAF, and Prince II or equivalent management methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Security clearance to MOD SC level or higher is essential.
