As a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing the software that controls, monitors, regulates, and automates next‑composite manufacturing technology. From developing software design concepts through to supporting on-site commissioning, this role blends creativity, problem‑solving, and hands‑on engineering.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing electrical and control systems for composite moulding processes.
  • Developing design concepts and producing drawings and specifications using appropriate software.
  • Researching new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve equipment and processes.
  • Supporting the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and BOMs through to build, commissioning, and client handover.
  • Providing training and technical support to client engineers and operators, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on sales enquiries, quotations, and technical problem‑solving.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining accurate technical documentation.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a motivated Control Systems Engineer who enjoys solving problems, pushing technical boundaries, and delivering high‑quality engineering solutions. You’ll thrive in this role if you are curious, practical, and able to balance creative thinking with technical precision.

Skills & experience:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent experience), with at least 1 year in a relevant control systems role.
  • Experience in electronic and electrical software development.
  • PLC experience and/or Siemens TIA Portal experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to create accurate, innovative, and practical design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and databases.
