We are recruiting for an Electrician on a Permanent basis. The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including administrative duties aligned to the tasks.
- Actively fault finding / problem solving on electrical systems across the prison.
- Carry out like for like replacements and other electrical minor works with the relevant electrical inspections and tests carried out and results recorded in accordance with BS7671.
- Ensuring that all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and functioning effectively helping to create a secure and well‑maintained environment for staff.
What you will bring:
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent.
- BS7671 18th Edition, however, we will consider 17th Edition with upskilling to 18th Edition.
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Good working knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance operations.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days as a weekend shift pattern is in place). There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).
