You will take a hands‑on lead in winning new business, growing existing accounts, improving pricing and margins and helping develop the commercial strategy to take the business from £15m to £20m+ turnover.
What we are looking for in this Commercial Manager – Future Commercial Director job
- Relationship building experience in the logistics, transport and warehousing space. This business is highly successful at building long term relationships with large blue chip clients
- So we are flexible on your level / experience BUT you need to have a strong background in logistics, transport, 3PL, warehousing, distribution or a closely related sector and be really good at building relationships in a consultative way with large businesses
- Strong understanding of logistics pricing, contracts, tenders and commercial negotiations (or be very keen to learn)
- Someone who understands that profitable growth matters more than turnover for turnover's sake
