Blaymires Recruitment is representing the UK's leading fire and facade consultancy based near Romsey, who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The consultancy works closely with their clients to understand and manage cladding and internal combustibility risk, defects and remedial issues. They are presently overseeing the refurbishment of multiple facades on residential buildings and they work with a wide range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.

You will be office-based, visiting sites when required and must be able to drive. You will manage cladding upgrades and remedial works to existing buildings. You will be responsible for inviting contractors to tender, placing orders, making payments, monitoring costs, visiting sites and preparing final accounts.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor from a Main Contracting or Consultancy background.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
  • Over 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Main Contracting or Consultancy background.
  • Strong knowledge of building appropriate Scope of Works documents and Bills of Quantities.
  • Experienced in tender and subcontract account processes.
  • Solid negotiation skills from a construction background.
  • Organised with sharp financial and cost management skills.
  • Astute in Invoice and Payment collation / management.
  • Good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
