We are looking to recruit Apprentice Construction Plant Engineers to join our team and begin an exciting career in heavy plant engineering. This is a fixed-term 4-year programme, including a 3-year college-based apprenticeship, designed to support your development from day one. You’ll work closely with experienced and qualified Service Engineers, gaining hands-on experience both in the workshop and out in the field. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to build a successful long-term career in the industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work as part of a close-knit team in both workshop and field environments
- Support the maintenance and repair of advanced construction equipment
- Learn how to carry out major repair work and component inspections
- Understand how machinery and key components operate
- Develop planning and problem-solving skills when diagnosing faults
- Learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and safe working practices
- Gain insight into the support functions that keep operations running smoothly
