Location: RG30 3RR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Burghfield.
Package: £49,480 - £78,200 per annum (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience). Plus role specific allowance. A relocation package may be available (terms and conditions apply).

What Will You Be Doing?
- Programming CMMs using the Quindos programming.
- Measuring critical components using high precision CMMs and other metrology equipment.
- Managing workload through the lab, including workflow planning and scheduling, workload tasking, process sign-off and problem report management.
- Ensuring equipment availability, coordinating maintenance and calibration.
- Ensuring safe and secure operations in the Metrology laboratory.
- Managing personal 5S adherence in the laboratory.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Program CMMs and other metrology equipment using Quindos and software such as PC‑DMIS, applying Cartesian and 3D polar coordinate systems.
- Run measurement programs for complex components, including program transfer and prove‑out for operational areas.
- Plan and manage workloads, ensuring timely completion of task reviews and resolution of problem reports.
- Support forward equipment planning across metrology and inspection areas, with a focus on Metrology Development.
- Maintain high laboratory standards through personal 5S activities.
