A leading construction and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. This position offers involvement in a diverse portfolio of works including roads, drainage, groundworks, and residential developments.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially managed from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing commercial activities across civil engineering projects.
  • Preparing cost plans, estimates, valuations, and financial reports.
  • Administering subcontractor procurement and account management.
  • Assessing variations, compensation events, and contractual claims.
  • Monitoring project budgets and forecasting final costs.
  • Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice.
  • Preparing and negotiating final accounts.
  • Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or groundworks projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and commercial skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
