Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a fast-growing and ambitious business? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor within our commercial team. You will manage the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximize cashflow and margin. You will also support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise, initial site surveying and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Measurement and take-off of a project to assist with the estimating and subcontract order placement.
- Managing procurement schedules from inception through to completion.
- Management of cashflow, payments and both sub-contract and supplier valuations.
- Strong client relationships, including attending and leading client meetings, valuations and value engineering workshops.
- Tender evaluations, including the preparation of tender and contract documents.
- Review and analysis of tender returns, including the preparation and placing of sub-contract orders.
- Management of key sub-contract packages, including the implementation of contractual requirements.
- VCR management and reporting of this to the Commercial Director / Directors.
- Evaluate, highlight and mitigate risks associated with a scheme from tender information, sub-contract terms or contractual requirements.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in commercial management, quantity surveying or similar.
- Three years of up-to-date knowledge and experience in construction and surveying.
- Experience and knowledge of construction contracts and step-downs to the supply chain.
- Confident.
- Good communicator.
- Organisation skills.
