An established aerospace manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the site quality function within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and developing the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the quality team, ensuring robust quality governance across the full product lifecycle—from supplier management through to final inspection and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the site quality team, ensuring effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and industry quality standards including AS9100 and ISO frameworks, as well as relevant regulatory and customer requirements.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of quality processes across manufacturing, inspection, and supply chain activities.
- Investigate customer quality concerns and non-conformances, leading structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Promote a data-driven and customer-focused quality culture across engineering, production, and supply chain functions.
- Plan, manage, and lead internal audits, external certification audits, and customer audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to support supplier quality assurance, development, and performance improvement.
- Chair management review meetings and quality review forums, ensuring clear communication of quality performance and improvement actions.
- Support risk management and product safety initiatives within the organisation.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within quality and inspection activities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical quality leadership within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally within aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
