The Role
As our Quality Systems Engineer, you will:
- Own and elevate our Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Be the guardian of quality, H&S, and environmental compliance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that make real impact
- Train and inspire teams across the business

What You’ll Do
- Master ISO Compliance: Maintain & improve IMS across ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001; Lead internal audits & drive corrective actions to closure; Be the go-to for external audits & certification
- Legal & Regulatory Hero: Keep our legal register up-to-date & monitor legislative changes; Conduct risk assessments & hazard analysis; Support incident investigations (RIDDOR & environmental reporting)
- Continuous Improvement Champion: Use PDCA, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Lean & Six Sigma tools; Analyse KPIs & implement impactful changes; Reduce defects, waste & operational risks
- Trainer & Engager: Deliver IMS awareness training company-wide; Coach internal auditors & process owners; Promote team engagement & learning culture
- Supplier & Customer Quality Expert: Conduct supplier audits & approvals; Investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly & effectively
You Bring
- 3+ years in quality/QHSE/management systems in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- Qualified Internal Auditor (IRCA/CQI); Lead Auditor desirable
- UK H&S & environmental legislation knowledge
- External audit experience
- Analytical & problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communicator
- Microsoft Office & document control proficiency
Bonus Skills: NEBOSH, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CQI/IEMA/IOSH membership, Engineering or Quality degree
