Due to an increase in workload within the business, our client, a leading manufacturing company based near Keighley, is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their existing team on a permanent basis.
Location: Near Keighley, UK
Start date: Immediate
Hours: Mon – Friday, 37.5 hours per week – early finish on Friday.
Role Description
As part of the Quality Engineering Team, candidates will be required to work with customers, suppliers and internal staff to investigate and address NCRs raised and assure quality standards are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure supplied and internally manufactured products comply with engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and all applicable company, customer, and statutory standards.
- Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and contribute to continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 would be advantageous.
- Act as a recognised point of contact for all quality-related issues within the business.
- Liaise directly with suppliers, customers, and internal functions to investigate non-conformances and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, support supplier development activities, and drive improvements where required.
- Ensure customer complaints are managed effectively, with clear communication and timely resolution.
Skills & Attributes
- Minimum HNC qualified in an engineering/quality discipline.
- Experience as a Quality Engineer within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, and assembly.
- Certified in auditing to ISO 9001 (desirable).
