The Quality Engineer / Quality Controller will report to the SHEQ Manager and work closely with inspectors, production teams, and senior management. The position combines hands‑on shop floor involvement with quality systems and problem‑solving, with a strong emphasis on communication and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate non‑conformances and carry out root cause analysis and CAPA activities
  • Complete customer and internal documentation (NCRs, SCARs, and reports)
  • Carry out audits across processes, products, and suppliers
  • Support inspection activities, including dimensional checks and traceability
  • Work closely with production teams to identify issues and implement preventative measures
  • Monitor quality KPIs and report findings to management
  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders on quality matters
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001)

Requirements

  • Experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality Controller role
  • Background in manufacturing such as precision engineering, fabrication, sheet metal, assembly, or similar environments
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Confident using IT systems and quality documentation tools
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
