Shorterm Group is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established engineering company based in South Oxfordshire.

Key Skills

  • A minimum of five years' recent experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-related role
  • Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects
  • Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques
  • Good knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS ideally)

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related issues
  • Training operators in all aspects of inspection techniques and equipment
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to inspection and quality processes and equipment where appropriate
  • Producing routine final inspection trend analysis and reports
  • Managing non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies
