We are seeking an experienced QA/MRB Document controller who has a background in oilfield equipment repair and refurbishment. This is a 12 month role based in North Aberdeen (role cannot be worked remotely) with a 40 hour week (5 x 8 hour days).
Responsibilities:
- Managing high volumes of technical documentation with strict accuracy and tight deadlines.
- Ensuring full material traceability, especially in repair and refurbishment scenarios.
- Supporting the transition from paper-based to digital (paperless) documentation systems.
- Coordinating across multiple departments (quality, production, engineering).
- Identifying and resolving non-conformities through Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Working in an industrial/manufacturing environment (workshop or production facility).
Qualifications:
- Experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance roles.
- Strong document management and material traceability skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with digital document management tools.
- Experience with digital or paperless documentation systems.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Background in Oil & Gas, Subsea, or complex manufacturing environments.
- Proactive mindset toward process improvement.
- Experience supporting internal audits.
- Experience with Document Management Systems (e.g., SharePoint, SAP DMS, or similar).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- ERP systems experience (preferably SAP).
- Document scanning and digital archiving tools.
- Quality management and audit tracking systems.
