We are supporting a specialist manufacturer of precision scientific equipment in their search for an Engineering Operative to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, friendly and highly skilled engineering business where full training will be provided. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity and an interest in engineering or manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly – Manufacturing intricate precision mechanisms, sensors and motors in line with manufacturing drawings and instructions.
- Machining & Fabrication – Undertaking machining activities including drilling, cutting, turning, milling and welding where required.
- Documentation & Quality – Completing works-order documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Packing & Dispatch – Carrying out packing tasks accurately and reliably to ensure products are prepared for delivery.
- Inspection Support – Assisting with the inspection of incoming raw materials when required.
- Equipment Maintenance – Ensuring tools, equipment and working areas are clean, well maintained and compliant with maintenance procedures.
- Team Support – Providing support to other departments when required to assist with workload demands and operational needs.
